Another Victim Of Mike Cummins (aka RCM Restorations) Surfaces -- $100,000+ Fraud/Theft

My name is Marcel Zoss and I was a client of Mike Cummins since 2005. I bought five cars but never got any, In order to save my interests I was looking for a lawyer and paid once $ 5000.- for nothing and once had to pay another $6000 just to start plaint, but…… I got involved with Mr. and Mrs. Biller through the transport company I normally use, schumachercargo, and they were willing to represent me as far as possible.

So I happened to hear that there are other people who lost a lot of money. My loss is about $ 135’000.-, as the documents show that in sent to Mr. Biller. In fact I declared that I wanted to join the plaintiff group with terry larson, claus from Daenemark aso. I got lots of mails from Terry and once in a while from their defender Jeff. I join the group in order to help financing the procedure and will do my best to send Cummins to jail or else where.

I purchased four Jaguar automobiles from Mike Cummins, February 2005 through April 2005, two were ebay transactions providing the VIN and payment information. I have bank wire transfer documentation for each payment made to Cummins.

1. 1966 XKE 2+2, VIN E75408BW, $13,500. Ebay transaction February 2, 2005.
2. 1974 XKE V12, $32,000, February 9, 2005.
3. 1969 XKE 2+2, VIN 1R27533, $12,500. Ebay Transaction March 9, 2005.
4. 1958 XK150, $18,000, March 12, 2005.

After making numerous requests to get the titles for the four cars March through June of 2005, on June 6, 2005 Cummins faxed me copies of three titles ('66, '74 and '58). His fax's cover letter said "Hello Marcel, Here are 3 of the titles of your Jaguars. I am waiting for the title for you 1969 XKE FHC to come from the DMV. When I receive it I will fax it also. Thank you, Cheryl and Mike Cummins Jaguar Central."

I called Cummins after receiving his fax, told him only the first page (title) for '66 XKE was somewhat legible, the other two titles were not, both had large blotted 'VOID' overwritten on them, what was going on! Cummins told me he was an licensed car dealer authorized to sell cars, been in business more than 25 years, not to worry. After dozens and dozens of requests -- verbal and written formal demands -- over the past five years, to date, Cummins has not provided copies, nor given me the original titles, nor has he given any of my cars to me.

In addition, I paid the following restoration costs for each car, I have emails of what Cummins said he would do, to complete fully over a period of 2-4 months, very little to no work has been done. There was always a new story, a different excuse.
1. 1966 XKE 2+2, $4875 on Dec 21, 2005.
2. 1974 XKE V12, $2950 on March 1, 2005, $3500 on Dec 21, 2005.
3. 1969 XKE 2+2, $10,000 on Nov 1, 2006, $4900 on April 27, 2006
4. 1958 XK150, $5500 on May 17, 2005, $4500 on July 1, 2005, $5500 on June 6, 2005.

I believed Cummins' many stories, believed he was a sincere man, believed he was restoring my cars. I purchased a fifth car on March 19, 2008, a 1963 XKE from Cummins for $33,000, information he provided by email, engine RA4620-9, body R7530. I have the bank wire transfer documentation and Cummins' emails regarding the purchase of the car.

After many requests for the car's title, on June 26, 2008 Cummins told me he did not have the car, he emailed me "The owner of the white FHC keeps telling me to come back..., if we do not get the car we will send your money back..." Cummins sold me a car that he did not have nor own! I have made many demands for the money to be sent back to me in 2008 and 2009. No reply by Cummins was ever received.

Since June 2008, I made dozens of attempts to contact Cummins regarding my four other cars he sold me in 2005. He did not answer my phone calls, did not answer my emails. I had an associate Jan Biller in the US visit Cummins in 2009, he had my power of attorney, he made verbal (in person) and written formal demands to return my cars on my behalf, each time, to no avail.

Please be careful dealing with this con-man and thief!

Jaguar Clubs of North America www.jcna.com -- Strips Mike Cummins and Cheryl Cummins (Jaguar Central, RCM Restorations) of all JCNA Concours Wins Due to Massive Fraud!

JCNA has stripped Mike and Cheryl Cummins -- Jaguar Central -- of all wins to include deleting any/all mention on the JCNA web site ('Standings' Section) -- an unprecedeted action for JCNA.  Given the extent of misrepresentation and fraud committed by Mike and Cheryl Cummins, JCNA is in the process of revising its by-laws to ensure criminals like Mike and Cheryl Cummins never take advantage of the good people at JCNA again.

Mike Cummins, Cheryl Cummins (Jaguar Central) entered 3 JCNA sanctioned events in 2007.  August 5, 2007 (Spanish Landing, San Diego), September 9, 2007 (Botanic Garden), and October 6, 2007 (Wine Country) -- winning all 3 events.  They proudly and flamboyantly entered a 1959 grey XK150S representing they owned and restored the car.

These were LIES.  Mike and Cheryl Cummins committed FRAUD.  The Cummins did not own the 1959 XK150S.  The Cummins did not restore the 1959 XK150S.  JCNA has confirmed via notarized documentation by the real owner of the XK150S that he had taken his XK150S to Jaguar Central (Mike Cummins) for servicing.   Under the auspices of servicing the car, Mike and Cheryl Cummins fabricated delays, then took the car to JCNA sanctioned events without the owner's permission -- or knowledge.

Mike and Cheryl Cummins used the 3 wins as credentials to establish themselves as experts in the Jaguar community, then went on to defraud and steal more than $700,000 from 10 different parties.  The Cummins amazingly claimed they were Board of Directors for JCNA -- and also JCNA sanctioned judges.  JCNA has confirmed both Mike Cummins and Cheryl Cummins are not (never were) on the Board of Directors of JCNA .  JCNA has also confirmed both Mike Cummins and Cheryl Cummins are not (never were) JCNA sanctioned judges.

BEWARE!  Mike Cummins and Cheryl Cummins are very BAD people.  Con-Man.  Con-Woman.  Mike Cummins and Cheryl Cummins LIE.  CHEAT.  STEAL.  Jaguar Central is located in Ontario, California.  Mike and Cheryl Cummins home of record is in Corona, California.

Beware of Jaguar Central, Mike Cummins, Cheryl Cummins -- Do Not Do Business with this Company/People!

I have a very similar/exact story as david42581 of Jupiter, Florida. I entered an agreement with Jaguar Central (Mike Cummins) to purchase a fully/restored 1966 XKE in January 2007.

Car was delivered to me in June 2007. Mike Cummins and I went over an initial inspection of the car. Car was delivered with obvious problems. I could not drive the car because it would not hold a charge (obvious short in the electrical system). In addition, the front suspension not assembled correctly, there was a large oil leak at the pan, leak on clutch reservoir that caused damage to the paing (I was TOLD by Cummins Jags did NOT leak/seep any oil/fluids if put together properly like he did).

I told Cummins I would f/up with a detailed summary of items needing remedy (to be fixed) within 1-2 days by email. Cummins ASSURED me he would take care of any items I found. I was promised by Cummins that Jaguar Central was an honest family-owned company and all items would be completed to my satisfaction.

I did f/up by email with a detailed 'list' of 24 items needing to be fixed, some major, some minor. The car was sent to Jaguar Central 3 times over a 7 month period to remedy/fix the 'list' of 24 items.

The car was first sent to Jaguar Central one week after the initial delivery -- the car could not be driven. During the 7 weeks the car was at Jaguar Central, I would call Cummins once a week for a status. I was told each time the car was coming along fine and all items would be completed. Cummins told me he would drive the car 50 miles to ensure all items were completed/work out any problems.

After (Cummins) assured me all items had been completed, the car was returned to me. When I checked the car, I found not one item had been completed. I called and asked Cummins the obvious question -- what happened? He told me he was 'having employee problems'.

I encounted a similar set of events the second time the car was sent to Jaguar Central. A few items were completed. I was assured by Cummins the 'list' was completed. Test drive completed. No problems. Car was returned to me, I could still not drive because of the electrical and front end problems, 90% of my list not completed.

The third time the car was sent to Cummins to complete the 'list' was Oct 2007, I was told it would take about a week to complete all items. The week turned into 3+ months. Key items on the 'list' were never completed. Car was returned to me in Jan 2008, 75% of my list not completed. In fact, car was delivered with several nics on paint and a burr on the bonnet.

After 7 months of ongoing contradictory explanations, I ended my ordeal, realized Mike Cummins had no intention to complete my 'list'. Cost to complete my 'list' along with other items not properly done during the restoration was in excess of $15,000 -- front suspension had to be reassembled, electrical work had to be redone, paint blistering due to poor prep, repaint the bonnet...

Mike Cummins, Cheryl Cummins (aka Cheryl Koop-Cummins) are liars.  Thieves.  Have no morals.  Con-Man.  Con-Women.  BEWARE!  For a quick background summary check (victims) of Jaguar Central/Mike Cummins, here are some links:
